ftx ten: echo park, los angeles, saturday dec. 1st, 2007
I have not been to that many ftx events, but one thing I will say is that I have never been to one that did not include a heck of a lot of amazing weather. It always seems as if the sun must shine of our gatherings. It was a glorious day in Echo Park and I for one was really grateful to be there. The highlights for me were: meeting ftx#0 and having her just crawl right up onto my lap and give me a big we kiss. Going for a paddle boat ride with my son Jack (ftx#44) and having him get scared, but enjoying himself at the same time. Being told by the guy who was running the paddle boat deal that the rumor of the paddle boats going away was unfounded. Eating french toast while listening to the Boss, knowing that Shyam made good on his promise to include a lot of Bruce Springsteen in the ftx ten mix.

hi everyone. i just wanted to write a quick note and say thanks for showing up to ftx echo park. as always each event is different to me.
the highlight for me was to finally get ms daisy mae, co-creator of the gang
to her first event. i don’t think i’ve ever seen a bigger smile on her.
even her eyes are smiling!
it was really great to see you all there and i truly appreciate you showing up
for it. this family we’ve got means a lot to me and it is amazing for me
to believe and realize that we made it together.
i also wanted to make the announcement that the amazing ftx #38 (henry!)
has created a website for the gang.

slideshows for most of the events we’ve done, with handpicked photos
by henry and music picked by me.
these quicktimes really show how these moments could never be done by a single
person but by all of us together. strangers and friends alike.
as ftx #6 told me the other night, every photos seems to be filled
with smiles. 🙂
but before the echo park event can be posted i need your photos!!
